The
Solar Fitting
at Low Angular
degree Group
(solarFLAG)

solarFLAG is an international collaboration of helio- and
asteroseismologists. The aims of solarFLAG are to
actively develop new, and refine existing, techniques for analysis of
low-angular degree solar p-mode data collected by unresolved,
Sun-as-a-star observations. The extraction of accurate and
precise
estimates of the basic mode parameters (for example frequencies and
frequency splittings) is vital for making robust inference on the
physical properties of the deep radiative interior and core. solarFLAG
provides a
forum for co-ordinated development of analysis methods by the leading
players in the Sun-as-a-star field
